I have recently got a Propex blown-air gas heater - the new bigger 2.4kw version - it is great. Only problem is - it takes quite a few goes to get it going. it goes through a start-up procedure and then fires up - or switches off. I have to go through this precedure perhaps 6-7 times before it fires - even if it's only been turned off for a couple of hours. Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything I can do about it or is it just the system being so clever and careful that this is what it takes?

I have an eberspacher and it does something similar, when you turn it on it starts up and just as it starts to fire out lovely hot air it cuts out! I think I need a service agent thougha dn that is gonna hurt!

I am already on propane - butane is just hopeless in anything other than summer - when you don't need the heating any how - so I have already changed. When it does get going it staysw going and is great - but just takes so many tries of switching on and off - just wondered what I could do

other appliances - ie oven and hob are fine - no problems. I have had a new regulator fitted about one year ago - the thing is once it is going it will stay going all day - just starting it is the problem
