I think the answer is yes able to fit but check dia&pitch as you have change to perhaps more hp
Md7 is about 12hp ?
 
Yes. You'll lose much of the benefit of the extra power. Given the amount of money you're spending, it seems a shame not to spend a few pounds more on the right prop. If you're going to be racing, a folding or feathering one will give better performance. I have friends with Brunton (if you're rich) and Kiwi (if you're on;y moderately wealthy) props and both seem to do the job. I'd certainly have a Brunton if I could justify it.
