Propeller for 3ym20 SD25 saildrive

I am thinking of buying a Yanmar 3ym20 with SD25 saildrive. I already have a 3 blade 14x9 fitted to the old volvo (MD7a) 110s saildrive (Volvo Saildrive 21381258 850658) .
I also have the old foldable 2 blade 16x8 (Volvo Penta Miscellaneous Equipment | Folding Propeller: 851064 | Volvopentashop.com)

Does anyone know whether I can fit these props to the new yanmar saildrive?

I think the answer is yes able to fit but check dia&pitch as you have change to perhaps more hp
Md7 is about 12hp ?

Just checked and the according to Vicprop - Prop calculator for Displacement and semi-displacement hulls I should be aiming for 15x9.
Is a smaller diameter (say 14x9) going to loose efficiency?

Yes. You'll lose much of the benefit of the extra power. Given the amount of money you're spending, it seems a shame not to spend a few pounds more on the right prop. There are any number of calculators to help you get it right; here's an example: Vicprop - Prop calculator for Displacement and semi-displacement hulls

If you're going to be racing, a folding or feathering one will give better performance. I have friends with Brunton (if you're rich) and Kiwi (if you're on;y moderately wealthy) props and both seem to do the job. I'd certainly have a Brunton if I could justify it.

I have a one year old set of 16x12 flex-o-fold blades which were attached to that combination of engine and sail drive.

If you can get hold of the hub for a reasonable price you are welcome to collect them.
