so I need two new props is it a case of strait bronze swop ie three blade or is there maybe a four blade or an alloy prop that might give me more speed ,which I would like cheers roy .

A few years back Clements got the job of tweaking the RNLI Severn class (if i remember correctly) props for a few extra knots. Must be quite tricky as you need them optimised at an engine rpm of max hp that matches the boats top speed which will be different in different sea states.

The propeller minefield a land of myths and legends......and people ready to take money from babies...
A tale of two Turbo 36s.
One had 3 blade props and one had four. Both skippers were old mates and deadly bar room rivals.
The 3 blade boat was always faster by a smidgen, enough to really annoy the skipper of the four blade boat.
The four blade skipper could suffer the derision of the other skipper no longer and coughed up for a set of brand new superduper 3 bladers which along with the lift out and new prop nuts and stuff cost a small fortune.
Come the BIG day and.......*ugger all difference :)
When the boat was eventually sold, the new owner got a really nice set of spare props which went with the boat FOC.

Have you spoken with Clements yet? No good trying to keep up with Brucey.

:D Brucey falls off the plane (or more correctly torque curve) at 2knts faster than his max speed. If Roy wants to go cruising to far flung places in company he needs to invest in some smaller C3's for me. Then I can also decouple the root chargers.

Cannot get my head round all this need for speed, it's like putting a Basset up against a GREY, both hounds but very different shape. Those "leaders" should consider the older more sedate ones.

Well one advantage is in the mad scrabble for the best anchorage I'm there first :) The next advantage is I can get out the Conwy Channel, make the Swellies and Caernarfon bar in a single tide.

But the best is just simply railing Roy while I do circles around him :p
