Hi Ive got a Princess 435 which ive just re engined with twin TAMD 63l's.
The boat used to have Volvo D6's so has massive four blade props which we thought would over prop the boat with the new install...... does anyone have the correct prop size and pitch?? i know Byron had a 435 a while back.....can you help?? Will be using the boat on the Thames.
Thanks

Ask prop suppliers for quotes and sizes and compare with existing props say what you want to use the boat for
If you are using at slow speeds then it may be what you use won't make much difference but having correct props may may help at sales time.

Props are an expert subject. The best people to ask would be a prop maker or Princess themselves. I took advice on mine and found that my boat was 3 knots faster than my mates 435 and he had the bigger engines. The prop manufacturers have computer programs that will work it out.

Escapism.
Surprised if your boat had D6 VP's before? They originally had either TAMD 61 (306hp) or the larger 370hp (TAMD 71's?).
As Byron and others have said, some combination of Princess and a good Prop' company would be best.
If you are lucky you may be able to use your current props adapted for pitch and diameter, but only if changes are within tolerances.
Good luck.
Mike Thomas.
