The difficulty in making decisions of this type is not knowing the exact composition of the propeller. If it is a brass pretending to be a bronze, e.g. manganese bronze, it is more electronegative than pure copper. So copper plating would reduce fouling but increase corrosion of the prop. If the prop was made of a tin or aluminium bronze it would be more electropositive than copper, so in this case plating would be beneficial for the fouling but would probably corrode away quite quickly. A zinc anode might help but its effect might be unpredictable.

Personally, I have always put the same stuff on the prop as I put on the hull, and also the log impeller. It never seems to have any adverse effects.

I had a chat with my brother about this, he said as you did, the effects of changing the basic composition of the prop, by platiung could have adverse effects, IE fast corrosion of the copper plating, I use black lead, comes in tubes, put it on and polish it, no fouling, I used to use bootopping antifoul, good aswell.
