Bit late now for anyone want to relocate, but my understanding is that my boat in NI is currently both EU and UK VAT registered. Or have I got it wrong?

I am beginning to think NI may have substantial advantages at present - both in and out and thus a halfway house. I hope some industries relocate here and give it a bit of a boost - Thatcher certainly destroyed it in the 1980s. Of course, as usual I get my timing wrong, and plan to be off home to Scottyland this year.

I’d stay where you are until after Independence. Ours and yours.

Ha! Had enough of the DUP and Sinn Fein and flag wavers generally. I need to get back to my own people. I hope they haven't changed over the past 40 years.
