The webserver isn't setting the mime-type, so anything that isn't stupid enough to trust the filename suffix will have a problem. Just save to a file and then (assuming you trust the source /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) double click and enjoy.

just done a clean install of Firefox 2 and install of media player plugin, doesn't work for me either. So do as Rick suggests, and download. Right click on the link, then click on 'Save link as'
