Project boat transport costs

Do transporters have HIABs capable of lifting 4,5t?
If not, I'm looking for ballpark costs/recommended contractors for 200m, NW to Midlands, bilge keel so no cradle, and crane assistance both ends.
Please tell me its going to cost more than the boat so I can give up on a seriously gnarly project...

We have a great guy locally, Lea Colman who specialises in boat transport and knows what he is doing, uses Hiab and flatbed, try talking to him.

Note - some boatyards/marinas dislike/ban having HIABS in to load/unload boats.

I assume that it is because they don't get to charge for the use of the boatyard crane?

Possibly, but also if an outside crane damage another boat or someone get hurt , the yard then have all the hustle of dealing with it , no business want H&S on their back .

It is a requirement of most boatyards that outside contractors are fully insured and in the case of cranes have a risk assessment before being allowed to work.

i used PJ Downs and Sons transportation with Hiab to bring my boat from burnham on crouch YH to my club in erith. Cost was about £600. Really nice owner to deal with.
