It just happens to be a Profurl...... but it is jammed like this:
Tried to drop the genoa and the collar slid down easily.... until it didn't - it's just stuck about 1/3rd down. Couldn't 'encourage' it down any further without stressing the luff wire (it's a twin groove foil). I'm guessing there's a ding somewhere on the foil which is snagging the collar. What to do? Is it better to undo the forestay and draw the whole thing towards the mast, go aloft and try to sort it? Or dismantle the foils one by one from the bow (boat is bow on to pontoon) till the offending section is revealed? And will the mast need supporting while the forestay is off - loosen backstay? The mast has an inner forestay and three shrouds each side.
