Friend of mine has put a deposit on one subject to survey and sea trial, anyone had one?
Its got two 60hp BMC engines and is clean and tidy with all systems and electronics seeming to work.
All comments gratefully received.
Thank you.

A very well respected boat, but did not do very well commercially as it's displacement speed was no longer popular. People who enjoy displacement speed love them and they rarely come on the market. A niche vessel with excellent sea keeping and nice lines.

Early ones made by Profile Marine then moulds bought by Maidboats and around 12 built from early 1980's to late 1980's.
Early ones all had Mercedes engines. 1st couple built by Maidboats had BMC and then all had VP 65hp.
I worked at Maidboats at that time.
Nice boats but be sure to have a survey done. Some had Osmosis from day one due to moderate moulding. The last 2 did not sell and ended up in the Maidboats hire fleet. These last had 2 x VP.
Flat out speed 9.5 kts with huge wash!! Normal sensible cruising speed around 7 kts.

Details swiped from....25 Years of Motor cruisers(Alex McMullen)

My little book states that 76 were built in total by Profile Marine(1976-1979) at Bursledon.A aft cabin with open wheelbox or aft cockpit with enclosed wheelhouse was on offer. It was ressurected tween ( 87-89) when a further 15 were produced.
Says here it was a good sea boat and a semi displacement version was built called a Pursuit 34 with flattened aft sections,of which only five were made.V berths in bow and convertable dinette.Engines listed here as Mercedes 42HP.
