Product recall on some Motorola 9505 sat phones

If, like me, you bought one of the above satphones and have been experiencing problems with the battery or charging system then be aware that some of the phones are subject to a product recall, according to my supplier.

If the IMEI number, it is on the handset underneath the battery, begins 300014 then it is subject to recall. If it begins 30014 then apparently a download fixes the problem.

I'm off to check my IMEI number this evening and will report back.

Naturally, my phone has the dodgy IMEI number so it goes back to be replaced with one that works.
