problem with lavac

yes, i am sure that there is no an air bleed as the intake hose is run on the bottom of the boat without loop and only with valve, which is all the time closed and open only once the loo is used

Lavacs work well, with a minimum maintenance requirement, when installed correctly. Otherwise there are bound to be problems.

If your bowl is above the waterline at all angles of heel a pinhole air vent in the inlet hose close to the connection to the bowl, or even in the seat cover, would help it to operate as intended.

Sailorman says he does not close the seacocks while on board. The boat I crewed for many years had a Lavac installed as shown in the main part of the owners manual and the seacoks were never closed... ever! ... not from the day it was bought from Westerly 'til the day the owner died over 30 years later

Why don't you understand what people are telling you?

1. Drill an air bleed if there isn't one

2. DON'T close the seacock until the after seat lid can be raised.

of course i understood what the people are advising and on my next visit to the boat will try a few tests on the loo including leaving the inlet valve open , long slow strokes on the pump and etc

thanks a lot for all the replies and advises !
