EA staff forced to leave area due to threats by local residents....Really ?

Yeah, bit old news now. Saw this on TV news yesterday - or maybe late Tuesday. Believe it happened late on Monday when some EA staff withdrew because of verbal abuse. Left things to calm down and went back again on Tuesday.
