Pro Split Charge cabling

Whats the current thinking on using welding cables for Pro Split charger to Batteries. - suitable rating for the Alternator of course.

You don't need anything near as heavy as welding cables for charging.

What's the max alternator output and how long will the cables need to be ?

16mm cable will be more than adequate for your needs. You can safely ignore the cable recommendations in the Sterling fitting instructions. They suggest 35mm cable, which is totally unnecessary.
