Hi - I am asking out of curiosity if there is a printable mayday sheet available on here in the unlikely event the skipper of the vessel is injured etc etc and fellow crew members who might not have experience would know what to say on the VHF ?

Is that Brent Delta your hanging under? Sort of looks familiar.
Many thanks for this @RunAgroundHard
The Delta was the first Brent to go - I have been on all four of them - The avatar is me under the Brent Charlie back in 2023 had to Transfer 3 sets of rope to get the the centre as we couldn't just make a big enough hatch in the centre due to machinery

I was drilling supervisor previously a drilling engineer on Bravo and Alpha a long time ago, and before that a drilling facility engineer upgrading Delta and Charlie drilling rigs. It is incredible that they are gone now. In the early 90's I started in the Ninian field and it was like a city, as all around were platforms and their flares lighting up the sky, ships and floating rigs. Most of it is gone now.

Yes definitely nearly gone - I used to repair the Derricks and do the upgrades to the drilling packages.
The annoying thing is my first decom job took 2 Yrs to gas axe everything now with the pioneering spirit lift barge once prepped - 8 second lift and it's gone

I've been on Charlie and Delta several times - during the 80's as part of a film crew making 16mm films for Shell Expro, Esso and the like.
Interesting times early in my career.

I printed mine with my callsign and MMSI filled in and laminated it. It's 100mm from the radio mic and it's one of the first things I show visitors (along with the red button of course).

Why don't you type one up that way you can add your own boat name, callsign and MMSI number. Getting it laminated means you can amend the number of people onboard.

Also you can add any boat specific instructions about your particular VHF - e.g. if it has a flap to lift for the distress button or the button's on the back of the mike, or needs the user to check it's turned on at a breaker panel etc.

I downloaded the one the @RunAgroundHard has posted and added the Details reqd MMSI etc etc - it is going to be Laminated so that the persons onboard and position can be added by board marker so it can be reused.
