I am about to take out, strip down and re-seal a couple of the windows on my 41. does anybody have any advice re this job. the offending windows have leaked like a seive for yonks and now I have to bite the bullet, are the rubbers and plastic extrusions freely available if so where from, particularily the billet rubbers at the joints.
Thanks in anticipation
Rob

Not sure if your windows are the same as ours in our P55 1989. We have a stainless steel trim on the inside that covers all of the screws. Take this off first and check where the water is coming in. It may be that the water is coming down the screw holes or around the lip of the frame as opposed to the rubber around the glass.

Take out and clean completely, bed in marine sealant but do not tighten the screws fully until after the sealant has set (if you go for the setting type). Then tighten up a bit so that the sealant acts like a gasket. If it still leaks around the lip then tighten a bit more. If you use the non-setting type then use a penny or thin wedge of wood to create a gap around the edge of the frame so that it doesn't tighten to the fiberglass and squeeze out all the sealant.

Try posting to the Princess Owners Club too.

Thanks for that Mark! its the rubbers that I require I guess that they must be available on the "open" market I already have the 1" webbing that the glass slides in and an enquiry out to Princess spares, who I must say were brilliant on this occasion and have promised to come back to me quickly. I am just trying to source the kit quickly and find out if there are any pit falls. the leaks are through the sliding window. and no, my windows are ali caravan windows with toughened glass, all be it strong ones.
Regards and thanks once again
