Dear All,

Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice on the V52. I have gone ahead with Lumishore and they have been ever so helpful. PR Nautica will be doing the sea trialing soon.

Enjoy the photos!

Congrats on your new Princess, I know you will be thrilled with it, I have worked on and tested most of their models from 42ft to 95ft and think they are well made and deliver exactly what they promise, good sea keeping and comfort with style which won't date overnight, and a decent turn of speed if you want it.
I wish you happy cruising.

That looks lovely. We spent 20 minutes alone on one during the boat show to see if we could live with a sports boat but I think decided we are flybridge people now. Having said that..........Never say never.

A cracking boat. We first saw one at Swanwick and have subsequently seen the very same boat at Weymouth when it looked stunning in a more natural environment than a marina.

Have you gone for the extended cover supports for the back deck? Oh, and don't forget a fishing rod to go with the hull lights.

Well done

Henry :)

Blimey Henry, is this the beginning of a complete volte-face? Not so very long ago you were scathing about sportcruisers...

You don't want a sports cruiser, you want a flybridge they're the future. I feel sorry for people who chase their childhood as they start to decay away. Who was that bloke on here? James the construction operative Had a perfectly decent boat then threw it all away chasing his youth.

You'll be getting yourself a convertible sports car next. Oh, wait a minute... :D

But ... to the OP - lovely boat, congrats, wishing you many happy times on her.

Cheers
Jimmy

The difference is Jimmy some of us are still young enough not to be accused of trying to re-live our youth :D

The truth is I think we are always going to be flybridge boaters until we start to fall apart and go for a displacement vessel, but the force of the dark side is strong in the V52. Hmm Yoda, know him I do ;)

Keep smiling

Henry :)

LOL, either that, or go for a displacement vessel asap, and avoid falling apart at all... :D

Oh, and congrats to the OP. Not my cuppa, but she does look nice.

Hi Henry,

Thanks ! Not sure what you meant by the extended cover supports but given the weather here in Singapore, I ordered the extendable rear shade that would cover the cockpit.

Yes will definitely do some fishing with the lights!

Btw I ended up ordering the zf jms system with the hydraulic bow and stern thrusters ... Cross my fingers that the system is reliable !

Thks

Yes - congratulations

These V52 are the dogs bollox I think so good choice.

I too am interested in the "Have you gone for the extended cover supports for the back deck?" question as I know two owners each went different routes on this

Thks for referring me to Eifron. He has been v v helpful indeed. Princess Yachts said they couldn't fit the Lumishore lights ... Hmmmm ... But my SE Asian Princess dealer will be able to fix it as one of their senior svc mgr used to be from either PR Nautica / Landau...

Very nice boat SS. Many congratulations. And yes the Lumishores (it's Eifrion, btw) will be a nice finishing touch

I've fitted and watched the fitting of many Lumishore lights and when anyone tells me they can't fit them in I'm generally 99.99% sure they're just saying that out of laziness or some ulterior motive. Fitting them is usually very strai ghtforward so good on you for sticking to your guns and finding a sensible firm to help you. They are the very best product in the market, bar none. Do post some pictures of the boat in its

What engines do you have? I'm guessing it's the Cats becuase i can see the ZF throttle handles

Will definitely post pics of the boat once the lights are fitted ! Ended up ordering 3 x-72s. I notice that Princess can at times be accommodative ie fitting the zf joystick system on my Cat 715 but at times they are very rigid and not able to fix the lumishores !

Btw have you ever seen the targa 50 / squadron 50 and how do you think they compare to the v52 / princess 50?

Very nice boat. I'm looking out over the river from the Bund in Shanghai. Your Princess would look a treat here. Now, how far is it from Singapore...............?
