What do you think guys? I really like :)
Maybe first real rival for SC35 and seriously thinking updating my SC35 to that.
But is there any real reason why change?
Really waiting how it looks inside...
Anybody seen better photos yet?

Not sure about the black roof but it's probably far more practical than white.

I'm a big fan of the Princess V class and really like this, though I don't know about a 30% premium over an SC35 for little extra volume, but I bet it goes like a scalded cat with a pair of 330's

I've got a real soft spot for the SC35 but that is luvverly. As Neil say's it's a fair chunk of cash more but I think it's actually 42ft so it's really a fair bit bigger too. Given it's similar wedge to the Targa 38 I think the V39 will steal a fair bit of Fairline's sales.

Erm, smaller yes, but affordable???

Last time Princess launched a smaller model (the V42) they shoved it in at the same price as the V45 then added £80k to the bigger boat.

It would be nice to be able to buy a quality small boat (30ft or less) from a british manufacturer but those days are probably past us.

The V39 is 39 in name only, and anything that costs more than the average house cant be described as affordable surely

Yes, originally 38, now being called a Portofino 40. First boat is now in build.

yes indeed!!

"affordable" is relative to all! the prospect of forking that sort of money out scares the hell out of me but someday they will be on the used market at varying levels to meet a wider range of budgets!

i keep reminding myself i have one of the most impractical boats on the market but its a choice i made based on the heart and not the head.

Starting 235k£ (ex vat) sounds lot.

No worth that huge extra money if compared to SC35, as Moody said, but will most likely be pain in the butt for new Fairline 38 GT...

Probably will continue with my sweet SC35 and wait when used ones starts to pop up ;)

Looking specs and surprised how little there is difference to V42.
I think they should leave something off...?

There was hope this would still be achievable when Sealine announced (about a year back) that they were going to launch a new S28. The drawings looked good too.

However since the takeover from one of the early statements of intent the new owners of Sealine seem to have their ideas set on bigger (and more profitable) boats.

It'd be a shame if the new S28 has now been shelved as a result and then indeed those days will probably be past us.

Don't know how true it is but I heard somewhere that Princess have sold all the 2012 V39 build...

Neil

It looks a nice boat, and i'm sure it'll sell very well, biut on its own I don't think that bit of info tells you very much, as all the dealers will have to buy stock boats at this size, which would probably take up most of the 2012 build. It would be interesting to know how many, if any, have been sold to end customers off plan so to speak, prior to the launch.

that would mean that princess have sold 52, as they would build one of these every week, just like the V42 & P42.

i am interested to see the perfomance figures over the Fairline Targa 38GT, which does 43 knots!

i think this boat will be of a problem for the new Sunseeker, if it ever comes out?

I was puzzled to see it referred to as the smallest Princess ever (YBW news email),........so what about the Princess 25, 30's and 32's, etc from years gone by? or did I miss something?
