Princess Riviera 286

This made me smile - not because it isn’t generally true but I am 6’5”, which puts the aft berth completely out of bounds and SWMBO insisted on taking a photo of me in the heads on one we were viewing a few years ago. Squashed doesn’t cover it! :ROFLMAO:

The mid cabin berth was famously short on the 286 because there was an (admittedly useful) huge locker at the foot of it accessed from the cockpit floor in front of the port forward seat. Back in the day when these were a current model there was a popular conversion that a company was doing to lengthen (or widen I suppose, depending on how you look at it - increase the length of the bed running across the boat anyway) the cabin by about six inches or so which made it useable for people over 6ft.

Yes, it was a standing joke with our friends who had a 286 that they had a lazarette whereas our Targa 35 had very little in the way of stowage in comparison ?
