Princess P45 battery charger

Hi everyone,


My boat is 24V


Lately I have noticed that the voltage is dropping every time i disconnect the ge shore power or shut down the generator. After consulting an electrician. I was informed that the batteries are bad and they are over heating when charged by the battery charger.

He is recommending to replace total of 4 batteries and also to change the BATTERY CHARGER.


I can change the batteries as they are available in the local market.


My question is. Which chh battery charger do you guys recommend as the prices and the options defers alot.

Batteries would get warm / hot if they were knackered. Not sure you would need to replace the charger too. I recently changed mine to a Victron charger - been really pleased with it. This one Victron Skylla - I 24V 80 Amp (3) Battery Charger - 3 Outputs, SKYLLA 24/080-I (3) | Energy Solutions

This charger looks really good. I have to do some research about it ?
