In general you cant go wrong with a Princess cos there well known and sale able.
Not too sure of a 330 in particular but I dont think Princess
has built a bad boat.
The 33 I had 1979 had vertualy a flat bottom as most others
of that age. It would slam in any sort of sea and was quite
alarming in a folowing sea.
The 35 1989 era is noted as one of the best sea boats that Princess have built.
I suspect that your 330 is of 90's construction so should have a deap V hull. So should be ok.
Alot depends on what you want the boat to do.
Am I right in thinking it's about 33 ft.
Give a bit more info on length beam displacement engines ect.
And what do you want it to do for you.
Many thanks Byron. Details of boat I'm looking at are: Princess 330, Built 1990, LOA 10.25m, Beam 3.70m, 2x200hp Volvo diesels.
I'm looking to use her for a bit of fishing with the odd trip to France and maybe the UK. I'm based in Guernsey.
I don't want a "slammer", but she is deep V so should be OK.
Regards,
letocq.
But the boat should be fine. All the later boats are deap V and the hull designs are all the same exept a bit longer or shorter.
Why not see if MBY have done a test on it. Copies are only a few quid.
Dont Know what you do about it cos nearly all boats have the
but !!!
I've put two gearboxes and two turbo's on my 35 which has the same engines as yours.
Volvo's reaction was. " I'm surprised the gear boxes lasted that long."
Mine now has two very expencive hydraulic gear boxes cos
it did'nt seem worth replacing with the same crap.
Second gearbox has just arived and going it this week.
About 4.5 grand.
Oh and by the way I put two gearboxes in my last boat too.
They also were Volvo's.
Have fun!!
