Princess or Ferretti , what boat would you choose?

Ah but what about that hydrolic platform for the RIB

aha, have been thinking of that ofcause,
I still believe that this is nice addition to this vessel, you know boy's and toy's and all that ...:)
I was just wondering what is going to be come first; finding the right moment (after a few seasons of using her) to add a hi - lo platform,
or looking to buy another boat, :o

as for now, we all agree its a timeless design / vessel :)

how do you plan on getting divers down on to the bathing platform? That ladder looks pretty steep.

There is a wealth of sugestions on here,....:D
moreover the ladder is not as bad as it seems,
and in my mind, I have a modification to make steps
to be discussed with the surveyer, and with the engineers on here at the appropriate moment......

I am very very sorry that I can't sing this in tune with a Eagles song
my intonation is no good :)

even if the surveyor suggested by PYB has indeed a good reputation, I'd rather pay the trip to someone from Belgium than use a local.

Mario, you know that I take “your” advice very serious , always !
“a professional Belgium Surveyor” we would call that “a contradiction in terms” :)

At the Belgium Boat Show Vennekens told me what they do; a yard, repairs, maintenance and…... SURVEYS
I called Vennekens a few weeks ago, they asked if it was urgent, they are quite bussy, could do the SURVEY in 6 months time when they have more time…...:D

I had the Italian surveyor a few times on the phone, it’s a 70y old man, who’s keen on his reputation, he has done a lot of work for Government (customs), And each time it was nice talking to him.
he explained very detailed how he does the survey, he wants me to be with him all day, show me what he does, en estimate how much eventual repairs are costing, etc. etc etc,…
When I told him who the broker is, he said that this is a very good and professional person (It’s a Captain) and he said : I know that person, but he probably doesn’t know me.
Well anyway, he’s booked and I’ve a good feeling with him, and I’m aware that my feelings can be wrong sometimes….

Hey Bart

Firstly, many congratulations. I couldnt be more jealous!!!

I think you should trust your instincts every time. If the surveyor is saying he wants you there then what else is there to say....straight up chap I'm sure.

Cant wait to see more piccies and congrats once more :)

LOL, I see. Actually, my point was simply to bring in a non-local surveyor, from wherever you prefer.
But if you already have an agreement with G.C., that's fine. He's one of the best known around here, anyway.
Maybe you could check what level of responsibilities he's willing to accept (if any) in case he would miss something relevant in his survey, because that's something you can't count on, unless contractually specified.
Did you already agree a date? I'd love to join you if you wish, also because I must go to Rome area in the near future for other reasons - though probably not as soon as you expect to close your deal...

hey René, long time no see,
I've been very busy on the YBW forum as you can see here :D
Is your Karnic OK ? we discovered that my Karnic doesn't like snow :) but thats OK now
I've so little time to finish that winter trip, travels to Rome etc etc,
but I still think we should do it!
in may we will be on Oosterschelde, will let you know the dates

The delivery trip (hopefully) is suposed to be our family summer holliday,
sailing Bleu Angel from Rome to Marseille between 15july and 15 august.
stops probably in Corsica, Antibes,...

Darn, I'll be in Spain in those days...
Anyway, as far as restaurants are concerned, of course there are many good ones around there, but I think that if everything goes well, the occasion will be well worth celebrating at Beck's "La Pergola". The hotel is also excellent, btw.
You didn't expect myself to suggest an Italian restaurant managed by a German chef, did you?
But I must give credit where it's due: he's the one who can offer the best culinary experience in Rome!

One more contradiction in terms :D

Thanks for the tip, the restaurant looks at least up to the status of a Canados I would say. :)
But you know we like to share adventures, and I will leave that one for another occasion, hopefully with you some day in the future !
Haven’t booked a hotel yet, but for this occasion we will stay somewhere in Ostia, close to bleu Angel,

Haha, fantastic Bart, love it! That looks a fantastic summer trip - I hope I bump into you somewhere along the way - keep us all posted on your timing.

The picture of antibes was Baie Des Anges. Antibes is much more beautiful. As you will see :-)

Off to watch the video agian now... :D
