Thats absolutely fantastic news.
As others have said, you dont seem to have any competition so no need for a big deposit. I'm sure we all have our fingers crossed for all going well and look forward to a new and exciting "In Rebuild" thread!!

the bottom of the hull looked quite good in fact, no fouling,
but I might asc somebody to clean the props, shafts and brackets before the boat goes in the water.
I don't believe somebody is willing to pay for the anti fouling in this stage

the idea is to do
a small part where she is now, Ansio or Rome, and leave her there till summer,
then during summer holliday sailing her to her new home, still to be defined but I hope somewhere near Marseille.
we could travel along Corsica or even Sardegna
and miss Croatia one year

Congratulations on getting to first base - offer accepted. I think you are the only game in town, so seller should accept a small deposit. There is no need fo a large deposit. BTW, I have always taken tiny deposits: e20k when I sold the 2004 Sq58 and £5k when I sold the 2009 Sq58. No need for any more imho
Judging by your itinerary above, I'll see you at sea sometime this summer

The broker of Nefertari kept on delaying the sales agreement, many exuses such as ; seller had to think, he had to make an appointment, translate the agreement, define the details, translate again, ….. and finally the seller was on a weeks holliday, but still no contract.
There was never any discussion about the price, nor the details I wanted, all this made me suspicious,
so we considered the white C70, Bleu Angel again
We realized she has a long list of better systems on board, such as better tender, better crane, better electronics, better accommodation, well maintained engines, only had 2 owners, etc etc.. …and that she is in pristine condition,
last Friday I have put a low but “reasonable “ offer on Bleu Angel,
Due to the fact that there are no less then 5 x C70S’s on the market right now, and that the owner of Bleu Angel has specified his new boat, we came to an agreement very quickly….
I explained the new broker about the situation I was in, so he worked very accurate and quickly, and today we have finalized the sales agreement with good and correct details (as I have learned here from you guy’s !!!!).
The date that was already fixed for the survey can remain on 31th marsh
During the weekend I have send my cancellation and apologies to the Nefert. broker . Despite the good deal I had, he “understands” my decision.
This adventure feels like sitting in a big roller coaster, and just at the moment we thought that the ride is finished, there was one more huge looping,
I hope this ride will be finished soon,
but we are very happy and exited we made this move !!!

Last week we were 2 day’s in Cassis SOF for a surprise visit (8 peeps) for the 50th anniversary of our Belgian friend who part time lives there, That was big fun !!!
We used the occasion to do some research work on Moorings;
* Cassis no permanent berths available, but they send me to
* Port Ouest Marseille, a private marina close to Marseille aéroport,
A nice advantage would be that they are owned by the same management as Cassis, so a permanent mooring in POM, would allow free mooring in Cassis !
But still prices are steep, a one year mooring is app 21k(summer) + 11k(winter).
A 15y consignment, (can be stopped) turns out at 23k/y while
* Port Napoleon is approx 12k/y, and also less than one hour from Marseille airport. (thank you Deleted User )
* Ciotat is cheap, but no permanent space available, they send me to
* Bandol, but didn’t go there yet, (I'm not interested actually).

Great news Bart, although I was confused slightly just reading the jfm thread where you stated you had bought Blue Angel, even sent you a pm so I didn't 'clutter' jfm's thread.
I think you may have always leaned more towards Blue Angel anyway, she looks a stunning boat, well done mate.

Bart, are those current pictures of Blue Angel or lets say, brochure shots, because if they're current, she looks fantastic and I very much hope your offer is successful. According to my experience, your roller coaster ride is just starting not ending. There are always issues with survey and documentation problems and thats before you actually take possession of the boat and find out what's really wrong with it

Nice to see the "old school" positioning of the all-round light, on top of the anchor.
Do you already have any SSB experience? If not, be prepared to be driven crazy by the damn thing, when you'll try to master it!
Not that it's much use in the Med, anyway.
Last but not least, even if the surveyor suggested by PYB has indeed a good reputation, I'd rather pay the trip to someone from Belgium than use a local.
Mind, it's not a matter of competence. I would be more than happy to use an Italian surveyor to check a boat abroad.

Yes thats a very good point. A boat of this size and age is likely to throw up a lot of survey issues so you need to be 100% sure that you are getting impartial advice. Flying a surveyor over from outside Italy has got to be worthwile for peace of mind

Woohoo! Many congratulations on Blue Angel Bart (and Ellie). She looks fantastic. I hope the next steps (survey) go well, then the delivery. I hope you can call in @ Antibes during the delivery, or we will meet up somewhere en route. Congratulations again, and here's looking forward to the summer

Great looking boat Bart, timeless design in my opinion. Hope the sale process completes without too many problems. It must be great to be able to use her straight away without the refit that Nefertari needed, although I was looking forward to that thread!
