Premium cars are a bit different, a higher proportion of 100-200K cars a will be on some sort of credit, finance or leased, most million pound+ boats will be bought with petty cash or surplus's, they may already have several Astons and Bentleys. Its the peeps who can only afford one Aston or Bentley and perhaps a 250-500k "small" Princess that are struggling /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Exactly. Plenty of people with a "sniff" of success with their own business, or maybe seeing the value of let property shoot up and mistake it for wealth able to stretch to a Bentley or a V42 (not necessarily both) when times were good.

But to have the wherewithal to buy, crew and run a Princess 23M? Different calibre altogether.

When I was in the factory in Oct, I was told that they found it easier to sell an 80ft than a 42ft, as for most people it was their dream boat for which they had saved hard and maybe taken a loan against their house.
Whereas the customer laying out 5-6 mil for an 80ft + had just as much money in his other back pocket.
