Princess 54 or...

Another advantage is that the whole aft cockpit deck unbolts as a compete section and lifts out giving the opportunity to crane everything out with minimal effort and without disturbing the interior.
Yes, that Ferretti feature made it much easier and cheaper to fit a gyro into my boat last year

I agree mine runs very flat, and it does feel that they were generous with machinery space. Everything is easy to get to although the internal height of the engine room isn't great. Not much of a consolation I suppose, but e/r headroom was even worse in the 175, the first Zuccon styled Ferretti (the 165 being the second, and refined in some ways, like the e/r). A price to pay for the overall very sleek and elegant low profile, I suppose.

Just FYI, I've seen a 165 where the large cockpit hatch was hinged forward, with a couple of electric hatch lifters under its sides, allowing to open up most of the e/r ceiling at the touch of a button.
Not a Ferretti OEM option afaik, but a very nice customization indeed, particularly if you don't mind doing stuff in the e/r. And also if you have someone else taking care of maintenance, they surely would appreciate the open air e/r, which ultimately means that they would work better… :encouragement:

Good idea if there's limited headroom. Not a problem I have thankfully
