Hi All,
I think I solved an issue as to why my fresh water gauge permanently reads full.....the plastic stem has broken off the Wema sender and dropped into the tank. Possibly done when bringing her round from Plymouth a few weeks ago.
So this should be quite an easy fix? Maybe not. The tank is 600mm tall, the hole opening is approx 1 5/8" diameter (1 1/4" BSP I presume). I only have 200mm space between the top of the tank and the deck above.
The only way I can see of replacing this sender is to remove the tank, which will mean moving the generator, moving the batteries, disconnecting and moving the port Morse control unit.
Before I go down this path, can anyone recommend a different depth gauge setup that would suffice without being too much more expensive?
