Princess 33 stuck on sunken barge.

How long has the Princess been stuck there ? Could it have been since before the lockdown?
 
Can’t say I have much sympathy for the owner!
I would love to go out on my boat, but understand the whole stay at home thing, and yet this person obviously thinks they are different to everyone else. Sorry, but the idiot got what he deserved

Doubt it.
Pretty sure car insurance co gets an invoice if any road furniture gets bent as a result of a car hitting it.
As for the firebrigade ,probably makes a nice relaxing change from the kitchen chip fat fires and smokers setting fire to themselves in bed .
Also a chance to meet up with somebody different at an incident apart from the ambulance lads and police ?

Presume the owner of the narrow boat will be held responsible for neglecting to secure their craft properly and obstructing the passage of craft.
One assumes as the sunken vessel was not moored safely in a marina it had probably been left somewhere on the river bank while the owner bu**ered off back home for the winter ?
A couple of pins hammered into the bank and some bits of old string are all fine and dandy in the summer !

rumour has it the Princess also sunk although this is unconfirmed.

duff info, it's still afloat well sort of!

Those early Princess hulls were laid up by hand with a bit extra for luck and the boat would appear to be the sensible and reliable shaft version.
Suspect its only a bit of A/F scraped off the keel at worst.

Unlike todays confections of eggboxes hull and and MDF interiors. :)
