Hi all and thanks for the add (Admin)

We've recently purchased on older P32 river cruiser and being completely new to the boat and reasonably new to boating, we have a few queries regards the controls, hoping someone who has P32 experience (or even older 'P' experience) could assist;-

1 The hot and cold water pumps are struggling for power so I'm guessing a fuse contact issue. Can't get anything to the sink/whb. Any ideas?
2 On the bridge and below the wheel, I have two 'what look like' small circular discs with an amber light below left and a switch below right. With there being two, I guess it's engine related (twin aqd21's) but can't see what they do.
3 Below my voltmeter and above me hours clock (I know), I have a very faded red or naturally yellow pull out switch, but no idea what it does. Again any ideas?

Many thanks in anticipation

Steve.

1 - there will only be one pump for hot and cold. Find it and put a voltmeter across the wires. If you’ve got 12V you need a new pump. If not trace the wires. There may be a switch somewhere or a fuse as you say.

Edit if you have 12v a common fault is the pressure switch in the top of the pump. This is often repairable by replacing the micro switch for a few ££

For the other things post some pics.

This was a neighbour's boat. Bit of a different layout to yours but:

One of those two lights indicated when the domestic water pump operated - which was quite happy when a pipe popped off emptying the water into the bilge. Sorry, can't remember what the other light did.

My first boat was a Princess 32. That said, there'll be so many differences between models and so many things changed by owners over the years that previous ownership will have limited value.

2) Possibly for raising/lowering the stern drives.

3) as above, pictures would be a great help.

First picture of mine when i purchased it:

Second picture of the refurbished helm, you can clearly see the parts, point #1 in the OP, which are for raising and lowering the leg.

Thanks all. The photos I've taken with the trusty iPhone are too large to upload, seemingly. A very attractive interior there though, surprising how much a facelift it creates. Mine is currently a bright red leatherette but plans to change for some 6mm perspex sheet.

My double circular discs do look like they should house two hour clocks, my 'singular' clock is however sat further up. Guess the switches on the same were to illuminate the clocks.

Cheers for the comments ;)
