Following on from my question regarding a berth (or mooring) in Menorca, we have found a mooring at a reasonable price.

Next stop is Gibraltar; are the prices there as high as in Menorca?

Ideally I want a berth this time, as I want to do some work before setting off for the Canary Islands. However, if too expensive I will have to settle for a mooring again.

Any suggestions?

There are two marinas in gib. queensway and marina bay.

Both have websites with current prices.

Im berthed in marina bay, i think for a ten to twelve meter boat is £15 a day.

water is 1p per litre

electricity is also on top.

I prefer marina bay, the staff are more friendly and helpfull.

I have a yearly berth with marina bay, i wanted to go to queensway at first because they were cheaper, but they wanted to charge me for a 12-15m boat. im only 11.5m. they soon became more expensive so i then went to marina bay.

Marina bay is closer to everything, possibly, the same distance to morrisons, but other than that, everything is on your doorstep in marina bay.

Highly recomend that you think about the spanish marina over the border (la linear??)

Its new and very very cheap. also a bigger, better, cheaper chandlery over the other side to the west.
