Dont know. Maybe the euro?? But if it was in Scotland it would be worth even more. Get the one with 160's in it. That should go well, 80's and it will just fart about and go no where. Except of course down a river, then it's ok.

On P33 theres a book shelf in the dining room. Make a big hole through the shelf and put a ramp up so the ferrets can run upstairs. (For a bit of nooky). You need some wire netting over the front. Use bailing twine to tie it on, for the othentic look. Need two pigions to IMHO incase radio goes knacked. My P35 has pigion holes in the hull. So just unscrew port holes and keep them in there. But P33 has no pigion holes so need to make some. Not to low down or the pigions will get wet and sink. You also if not carefull!!

Its likely to be down to exchange rate differences and the fact that Princesses are probably less sought after outside the UK. Sterling has appreciated considerably since 1996 against all European currencies and it is likely that these boats were exported prior to 1996
I took advantage of this myself and bought a Princess in Germany in 1997 and made a few bob profit selling it on a couple of years later so buying in Europe is certainly worth considering if there is a significant price difference. But make sure that you get originals of all the paperwork documenting changes of ownership, VAT status and Builders Certificate.
Now for a bit of stereotyping. I found French owned boats to be generally scruffier than Dutch and, particularly, German owned ones. Ask for some photos before you traipse over to the Continent

Don't know about France but certainly in Holland they look down on "tupperware" boats as they call GRP.

They much prefer steel and to be fair to them, for their type of boating steel's probably better what with all the locks and so on. And of course the Dutch are absolutely brilliant at making almost anything out of steel, including boats. Hence demand for GRP boats is low and that's reflected in the prices that secondhand motorboats attract. Majority of GRP boats that I've looked at for sale in Holland were owned by non-Dutch folk - Brits and Germans mainly.

I have several friends in Holland who would seriously rather not have a boat at all than to have GRP..
