They've installed new Power/ Water pedestals on Preveza Town Quay- presumably a prelude to a rigorous charging regime ?

Don't forget you will have free disco music , starts getting loud around 11 ish and by three it will have you bouncing out of bed -:) I been three times and same every time ,on that basis Im out .

2euros?
This summer PP was very consistend regarding mooring fee (aprox 9eur for 13m SY).
There was no noise form the bars. The loudest one (next to bank) is closed.

Just completed a 2 week tour of the Inland Ionian.

Preveza, Lefkas ( marina one night ) , Vathi, Vasiliki, Fiscardo, Vathy, Frikes, Port Leone, Spartachori, Lefkas town quay, Preveza (Night at Cleopatra marina ).

Got our updated Dekpa stamp on day 1 in Preveza. No charge.

The only time we paid was at the two marina stops. E55 for a night in Lefkas ( picking up international visitors ) and E22 at cleopatra. A complete absence of anyone shaking a tin on any of the other stern too or alongside nights we had.

A real pleasure!

They would have to pay me to stay the night on Preveza quay , like previous posters Iv stayed two nights, the second after a five year gap when Id forgotton about the music , both times music started about 11pm and by two ish the boat was vibrating to the beat ,never again .

Preveza quay is one of them place people love or hate , I have to say I hate it , better spot is out on the anchorage but even there at times you can hear the noise .

Last year there was no loud music.
The bar next to the bank closed (even the locals did not like it).
I ussually overnight on the quay, take water, visit shops (butcher, vegetables...).
Prices are reasonable.

Where do you anchor? In front of the Aktion/Ionian marina?

Go through the channel as if you are going into. The inland sea and bear off to the port near the old harbour , easy to take the dinghy ashore , orgo onto the inland sea and there loads of places there

Anchor off Aktio Marina, don't get too close too the shore though the western side of the bay where the dredge is moored/aground/abandoned is getting shallower all the time, nice and sandy but shallow nevertheless. ( Some talk that the Cleopatra development is responsible for the sand deposits :) )

Fuel can be had from the fixed installation at the tip of the Cleopatra marina wharf.

Preveza has been relatively quiet lately, the town quay is handy for collecting people bussing in from Athens or Igo or or visiting the supermarkets but the night life is still 'boisterous'.

Keep a careful eye on the depth. It shallows very quickly inside the most westerly channel marks. We usually keep in the channel for some distance before turning to port.
