Lefkas was definitely the right choice. Thanks to everyone who offered advice. Plenty of life around and there’s also a carnival which is adding to the atmosphere. Porto was dead last night. Only me a Norwegian family and a dog and only me alone from around 10 pm. Will visit the Irish Bar tonight. Maybe one of them will have one of the PRO 14 matches. Stayed in Ianos Hotel last night but WiFi was worse than nonexistent so I moved to Hotel Lefkas tonight. More life and better WiFi there but on street parking only.
I visited customs in Preveza today. Not easy to find with all the construction going on but very helpful and courteous - I’d love to send some of our customs officers from Turkey here for some customer service training.
I’m going to have to get a loan to keep up the toll charges. Cost a fortune on the way from Athens and €6 for the tunnel today.

comeon, it did cost LESS than the cost of fuel, so it's fine
Volos Athens it's around 18euro each way in tolls, and 40 in fuel. I think that's their idea of charging: "just charge them half the cost of fuel!"

Irish bar is open as of 15th Jan. Wind was bad 50knts though it was always on the forecast.

To be fair, I cannot stand smoke and so I hate Porto for it, but I did spend from 5pm until 3am in there this evening. Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, you just have to let stuff slide. I

Happy to check on your boat Pasarell if you tell me where it is. It's probably fine though as most of the worst winds were in the night and other than a slightly unfurled mainsail, I didn't have to rescue or fix anything around my dock.

It was a pleasure to meet you on Saturday night. Thanks for your company. The Irish Bar is a fine spot. No smoking and the owners are a lovely family. Went to Porto for one tonight. Grand for 5minutes but then the smoke got me. Back in IB for a night cap and heading east tomorrow. Thanks again.
