Preventing leaks from coach roof grab rails?

You are beginning to annoy me.

I know it's Sunday but if you want to preach may I suggest you go and find a church to do it in.
Sorry about that but I thought the PBO forum was about the exchange of practical ideas. Always useful to know the thinking behind the techniques different people use.

Thank you for your explanation.

This may b a way to fix the grab rails

Hanger Bolt in Screws & Bolts for sale | eBay

Screwed into the wood grab rails then bolted down to the coach roof with your choice of sealant under the rails and around the screw thread,

But it still relies on a wood screw to hold it in place.

Yes but with no hold an plug in the top of the grab rail would be less likely to leak water down the thread of the through bolting.

The wood screw section could also be sealed into the wood with some epoxy

Just thinking out of the box as designers generally do.
