Prettiest production motor cruisers

If we are talking current production boats then for me there is no competition, has to be the Rivarama 44, nothing comes close in modern build today, still the most glamourous and beautiful work of art on the water.

Its not just the look but the detail, the finish and sheer love someone has put into its creation. Like that saying from JC about a certain model of a car, 'tis like they sat down and said lets design it so the competition switch the lights off and go home"

hope you don't mind a raggie having a view on this ! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

There is a boat moored on the Beaulieu river which I found very stylish and unique but had no idea what it was. Now seen one similar advertised in one of the mags - I am pretty sure its an Oyster like THIS ONE

Having said that, if I was to switch sides, I think I would for a decent fishing boat like a Bertram or Hatteras.

[/ QUOTE ]Agreed.
Actually, they didn't invent anything - just developed the original idea, made it bigger, used modern technology at its best, and found a fancy evocating name.
But they did a great job.

Agreed - in my opinion (perhaps humble?), the older Sunseeker Manhattens do look much prettier than the new ones - I think they might have overdosed a tad on the curves with the new ones.
Maybe they were left under the hair dryer for too long and melted a bit..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My first reaction was OMG! But those Cruise A Home's have a certain character. Seem to have strong hulls that can take the sea too. And at a bit over GBP10K you can't beat the price for a waterfront apartment!

Nice in their own way.

Yes when you look at an M64 and the new M60 from side on, the 64 looks sleek and low whereas the 60 looks short and high, almost top heavy in appearance

heres a challenge to the techno buffs, who can put two same size, side profile piccies, on this site of the Man 64 & Man 60 to illustrate my point.

Now it may just be me and I'm ready to be shot down but....................

The title of this thread was Prettiest production motor cruisers

From what I see here there are many who think "Sports boats" should be reclassified /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Something that bounces off waves and has a range of 150-200 miles can hardly be described as a cruiser, surely the word cruiser would mean... to travel at a sedate pace to a destination.eg cruising.......... holding on for dear life whilst your lower back is trying to keep the hips in line can not be classed as cruising!

Wheres that icon for cats and pigeons.

Well said that man /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'd vote for one/some of the US E.Coasters like Back Cove et al. I think they are really pretty.
Similarly as are the Aquastars and Freewards of this world. Ditto for the old Fairies.
Call me old fashioned but the norm nowadays seems to be to build big, fat, white or blue and white, plastic blobs that are horribly over "styleised?" For example every model now seems to have to have ridiculous sweeping curved side windows on the superstructure .........Ugh!!

That's an interesting take on both classic and modern. Modern ones are almost pretty but will date rapidly IMHO. Classic ones similar to the US E.Coasters but vertical aft end of side windows and wheelhouse look a bit cumbersome. Rather nice though.
