Prestige 36. Comments.

Prestige 36, just a short walk up the pontoon. Not yet on the market.
Visually from the outside it appeared to be a step up from our Princess 35, however the interior did not match up to the outside promise and serious shortcomings in the engine access dept.
They really did shoehorn those engines in there.
Other more candid comments available on request. :)

This doesn’t surprise me and to be honest I was a little surprised that you were interested in one knowing what you have owned for a long time.

On stepping aboard.
Very cramped interior and as for that coffin of a 2nd cabin.
The galley was obviously designed with Hobbits in mind and the saloon cramped to say the least.
Front bedroom has less room than the P35, better headroom tho .
In addition to serious doubts about the engines fitted, engine access, what engine access.
General fit and finish.......Mid range Airfix. !
Was expecting a serious leap forward in interior space on a boat 10 years newer.

A boat in the thirty foot range is not going to be all things to all men, some compromise is needed

In my case its probably a Rodman 41 on S*****s, the fly on the Po is they are all in the EU with a 20% penalty to pay on importation.
Do know of UK based boat but its got a pair of those IPS thingies, so thats definately off any sane boaters list.

never been onboard a prestige 36 but sold a 32 few years back with 2x D4-260hp, I thought that was a well laid out boat, the cabins were a good size for the length and a decent flybridge for the size, only downside I’d say is the galley was a bit too small.
As an alternate, what about the Sealine f37? Think there’s one in Torquay area for sale

You’ve found something you dislike more than outdrives OG :)

Only in the marine industry could a overcomplicated collection of dissimilar metals held togther with rubber tubes and jubilee clips be made worse by the addition of extra electronics and with precious little advantage over a simple reliable easy to fix system invented nearly 200 years ago. :) ?

Similarly, you could pick a leaf of a plant dry it , roll the product into handy sizes .Ignite one end and place the un ignited end in your mouth and inhale , inhale deep the smoke products of said “ cigarette “ .
Why not ? After all in the 70s + 80 s everyone else was doing it .It was positively encouraged .

Just because there is a lot about does not mean it’s right .Think first principles.Smoke = carcinogenic.
As OG says , rubber , dissimilar metals , clips , solenoids- complicated controls , Electrotwackery, skirts , duo prop gears , etc etc .
There is an inevitability dangling this stuff in brine .
Plenty of shaft drive options if you care to look.
