Preparing to sailaway...

With the future in mind I am looking around at all the stuff we waste on a day to day basis. I have a couple of years to go yet so wondered what other people have missed whilst away..with the thought..."we threw loads of those away on land..if only we'd kept them they'd be really useful now". But what would those be? I am currently collecting aluminium and plastic food containers but am not quite sure why...any thoughts welcomed!

the search facility here is known to be poor; haven't tried it myself but I've often seen the comment that one can search on google for threads on the forums, try something like 'YBW liveaboard what would you take ?', I might try but a bit short on time right now.
