Premier Paints antifouling

+1

No, but had a long chat at Southampton with them and was impressed.

Was intending to give them a try for this Springs haul out.

Previously always used International but the price is substantially different and they "claim" theirs is every bit as good - well of course they would.

Two years ago I put their Cruising antifoul on the hull and some left over Uno on the keels and rudder. During the season there was a lot of "beard" growth and on lift out the Uno areas had fared better and there was more growth (particularly worm casts) on the hull than I had ever seen before. For comparison I reversed the process and applied the left over Premier to the keels/rudder and Uno to the hull but I have not lifted out since yet.

I've been using it regularly for the past 3 years (Solent/South coast) and it has been every bit as good as the more expensive ones I used in the past. If it has less copper so be it; less damaging for marine life.

+ 1. After 21months afloat there was just a moderate slime, plus a few barnacles. (I used their steel white version which some claim contains less copper than the other colours)
