Just got this message. Fair play Premier. All in all I’m glad I made the move here.

I am pleased to be able to confirm the unit price of electricity after the Government's support has been applied.

Our current rate is 42.0p per kWh (inc. VAT) and after the application of government support the rate will reduce to 36.3p per kWh (inc. VAT).

The government support applies for the period between 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, albeit it may be extended in some form beyond that.

We adjusted our systems for the new rate as of yesterday and as promised, we will apply any credit to your account as quickly as possible, for the period from 1st October 2022 to 17th January 2023. Much of this is manual, covering over 5,000 accounts, so please bear with us as we complete this exercise.

Is that really correct that it is illegal to mark up the price of electricity? I have not seen what I am being charged at my Marina but felt it was a rip off 12 months ago.
From the Marina's point of view is it as simple as saying "We were selling it to you on the pontoon so the charge included distributing it their to you. Bring a bucket to the office and we won't charge the distribution."

Having just had to renegotiate a business electricity supply contract 42p isn't to bad in the scheme of things, as to Jrudge's comment about the legality of marking up supply costs, maybe somebody should point that out to electricity supply co's ?‍♂️
