Hopefully they will reopen the cafe and bar too. Snack kiosk only at the moment.
The Dolce Vita ceased operation in Hamble a couple of weeks ago saying that they had moved the format to Universal under the name 'Astors of Hamble'. At the time, that seemed an 'interesting' move given the throughput of restaurants on the Universal site. The Hamble site is advertised as opening with a new and exciting format, whatever that means.

Wow really? My fave eatery in Hamble. Now within walking distance ?

astors hasnt opened yet, friday i think. the restaurant wasn't part of the deal with mdl , the old management from universal owns it still and looks to be the directors of astors.

A significant volume of Dolce clients are from the Village, so can't see to many of them paying a £15 cab ride each way, especially with so much alternative choice, so come the Winter when the berth holders have gone home they will really struggle. Shame as they provided some excellent takeaways in Hamble throughout the lock down.

However, I do wish them well with Astors.

That didn't last long. The Dodgy Eater closed suddenly a couple of weeks ago with bailiffs in soon after.
