It rained and then it rained considerably more.
Everyone was provided with power on the EA moorings, can also recommend the new moorings owned by Allington Castle. Beautiful secure quiet surroundings. Power/water and all for only £13.00 quid a night.
The castle moorings are behind a very substantial security gate. Key deposit £10.00.
Supposed to be 100% for annual moorers but no problem for short term stuff if you book in advance.
Hero of the hour was of course, lock keeper Tim, who stood in the freezing rain working to get everyone out in order to get under Aylesford bridge.
Can report that..... this year..... all aerials and masthead lights remained intact.
Did I mention it rained. ?

H,mm the Xmas lights are already on in our high street..........

Most of our club are at an age that we could hold it July and nobody would notice :)
 
Still good fun though, although the journey back was "tricky" as I didn't manage to get the windscreen wipers working so navigated back by smell and hope.

Breaking news the club has recently been dragged virtually into the 20th century......
We are expecting the arrival of some new fangled electrickery device called a credit card machine any day now.
Its impending arrival nearly caused a riot among the more active of our senior members.
We can now take cards for fuel/berthing and vittals. :)
