All,

Its that time again! Eureka has just had all the leg repair work done and is now serviced, antifouled and ready to launch. However she is dirty!

I am thinking of going down over the next 2 weekend to give the inside and out and good clean and poilsh. What products have people found the most effective on the various surfaces?

Alternatively, if the weekend weather is not kind to me I will have time against me. What typically could you pay for a pre season valet? Does anyone have any recommendations of people they use?

Regards

Nick

I have just booked to have the inside of our done. Nice chap from Chem Dry is coming to do the upholstery, carpet and headlining. He also has something which will clean up our very sooty canopies.

As for the outside, well thats down to Nick to do over the Easter Holidays!

Ribshine works a treat on load sof stuff, but wear gloves, for God's sake! There's a white powder that comes in big orange plastic tubs for cleaning GRP - that works well, but use with caution, and only if the gel is really badly stained, as it's abrasive. No substitute for Farecla rubbing compound (G3, or the milder one) and a polishing mop, but be prepared for a load of hard work.

There was a recent thread on this subject. Company called GRPro -Clean. Poster said cost was around £350.00 and boat looked like new after treatment. (Was it Dave Snelson?)
