As a part of my refurb a new on demand water pump required. Increasing the number of outlets to 6 from 2. Installed a water heater to provide hot water at the galley and head basins, plus a shower.
Researched manufacturers who all had suitable pumps. Looking on eBay and Amazon found what I suspect the market leader Jabsco Max 4 at around £180.00+ which could serve 4 outlets and the correct bar required for the water heater. I was about to order one when I saw a SEAFLO in the list, one of their 54 series, bar pressure correct, serves 5 outlets, (does not require an accumulator, as others did at an average of £70.00) at £59.99 a third of the Jabsco alone not including the recommended accumulator.
I further researched the company from its engineering point of view and quality of materials which came up trumps. The pump has now arrived and I am delighted with the quality, it includes a seperate in-line gauze filter.
The price difference is truly amazing, which only adds to the long held suspicion that we boaties are constantly paying more than is fair.

If I may add, the pump I removed, not a Jabsco, of a much smaller output, still had the retail price dated 1999 costing £85.95!
