On boats I have known

CommandoClass motor sailer built Blanks boatyard 1961.Refitted in 1981 for cruisetoCanada that ended happily in Galicia.During refit the engine was removed and replaced by15foot sculling Oar.unfortunatly lost during winter storm in1984

Looks like a baby LM24 or LM27 to me!

I suppose Wansie was thinking if I get rolled or pitch poled there is not much to lose or possibly loose above deck.

It was a unique one off which used only half a mould,bought it cheap from Macwester in Littlehampton,obviously was not a commercial possibility
