Power upgrade Volvo D4??

As with all diesel car common rail or older style engines, one can obtain power upgrades which can produce up to 20% increase in power and an increase in MPG. I have come across dieselbob and a company called dbchip in Australia (long way to go) - does any one have any suggestions or recommendations as to whether this chipping is worthwhile? pmdplc@dsl.pipex.com

IIRC, the Desel Bob remap only takes a 210 D4 up to 225 so as they are the same engine in other respects it may be possible to have the local Volvo peeps remap it as a 225 with the correct perameters all round. But maybe Diesel Bob now does bigger boosts.

The difference between a 225 and a 260 D4 is different ignition (engine map) and a larger charge cooler.

Check out the swedish company mentioned in my blog post found here. They do a couple of the new D series of engines as well as KAD300 and KAD44 etc.
