I’m on the new (to me) boat.
The power steering pump runs constantly. Am I right in thinking that’s not normal?
How to fix it?

I think that’s normal. The motor will run constantly sending pressurised fluid to the orbitrol and if you’re not moving the wheel, most will be returned straight to the tank. If you move the wheel some will be diverted to the cylinder.

Same for the autopilot which will trigger the solenoid valves on top of the tank.
