power steering oil..

Hi all, can i use Halfords power steering oil for my 200mr mercruiser power steering?
Stupid question i know as the answer is probably yes but just want to make sure!

You would ideally need to check the oil spec against the Mercruiser requirement, but my gut feel is that it should be OK. Boat PAS works in the same way as car PAS.

On mine (4.3EFI) the manual says you need "Transmission Fluid Dexron III or Equivalent", which you can get anywhere.

You should be able to find the service manuals for your engine here - the manual will have the exact spec of the oil you need if you want to be sure:
