anyone tried the Bosch / Lidl own Power scraper for removing antifouling.... how do they compare to using a paint stripper like interstrip then scraping.

Ps i am aware of the farrow system and slurry blasting.. just weighting other option up.

Last winter I removed the antifouling with the Lidl power scraper and it did an excellent job. the AF coating was thick and quite loose. I think a thin well stuck coating would not be so easy. I used the non sharp, blunt scraper which I thought was the best, and it just fell off, with no tendancy for the tool to damage the gel coat.

Beccause of the dust I bought the power dust hood from Axminster Tools, I think called the Trend dust hood which was excellent, no misting, cool filtered air accross your face. this hood has been really useful recently rubbing down varnish and I wouldn't be without it now.

I have a Bosch power scraper and it is excellent at removing antifoul, the trick to avoid digging in is to grind the sharp chisel edge square & round the corners of slightly then it will shovel the antifoul away big time.
