Power Boating in windy conditions

Is there a course someone can take to know how to drive a power boat in windy conditions?
If it's a Category A or B boat then it supposedly can handle windy conditions- but what about handling the boat or whether to know if I actually should go out in say winds over force 5/6 ?

You can either take an RYA course or many of the schools offer one to one tuition on your own boat.

Well, the boat may be ok in a F6 plus, but your and your crew will find it mighty unpleasant. Scary even, depending on their level of experience and attitude to risk.

Agree with Tranona that the best way forward would be to book a days 1:1 on a very windy day, assuming the instructor is willing.
