Power Boat Training UK - How customer service should be
I like to be able to give good feedback when ever I can. I have to comment on probably the best customer service I have experienced, and FYI I have no connection to the company.
Two years back my wife and I had a two days training on our own boat, a few weeks later we then had another days training through the same company. As the level of training was so good we used the same company for my daughters RYA Level 1 last year. Again the whole experience was excellent for my wife, daughter and myself for the full 4 days.
This is what has impressed me.
Event 1
Due to a change in the weather one week end last year I took the decision to berth in an easier berth than my own. I then had the problem of having to return the boat to my own berth before the following weekend, the problem being the round trip is 300 plus miles and I couldn’t get the time off work to do it. I called Power boat training explained the situation and asked if I they could organise a skipper to move it for me and I would pay for the service. The reply was “You made the correct decision to berth in an easier double berth, and yes we will organise to put your boat back for you”.
Event 2
I now have a problem with a prop and so need to get the boat out ASAP before Easter. I have the lift booked for Thursday morning. Same problem as before 300 miles plus cant get the time off work so again called Powerboat training to explain the situation. Again the reply was “Yes we can organise to move your boat round for the lift at the correct time”.
On both occasions they have refused to take any payment !!!!!. The reason is that I am a customer and they do what they can to help their customers. Fantastic customer service or what. It appears that once a customer always a customer and time doesn’t dull their memories.
I know the distances involved in moving the boat are only a few hundred mtrs but thats not the point it’s the fact that they have just said “Yes no problem leave it to us” that impressed me so much.
Next visit to Poole and I will definitely be dropping off a nice bottle of something and box of chocolates to Power Boat Training UK to say thanks. I will also make a donation to the RNLI.
(May also book some more training for the summer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
