Felixstowe ferry boatyard have got my attention price wise but its the matter of getting her there.....
Problem is my boat hasn't been left the marina (Debbage in Ipswich) in nearly a year, I bought her from Brighton in which she didn't leave that marina for 4 to 5 years as was used as a liveaboard.
Part of the winter plan is remove and overhaul the engine which has low compression on 2 cylinders despite seeming to run fine.

How feasible would it be to tow her the entire distance and use engine when needed (upon arriving at FF) ? Does anyone have a contact who would be able to do this?

Sailing would be off the cards also due to various things needing an overhaul. Would be nice to avoid removing the mast , crane costs and getting her transported by road again if possible.

Any input would be great.

I would speak to Andy (he owns the boatyard at the ferry), generally he can pretty much arrange anything and no doubt will know someone who's prepared to arrange a tow for that distance (subject to a suitable weather window!)

And arranged it is! Thanks John, winter home and transport sorted.

My pleasure. Great bunch of guys at Felixstowe Ferry and we really enjoyed our time there (several years), only moved as we wanted marina facilities. Hope all goes well.
